Christie began her yoga journey as a teenager, using yoga as a way of warming up and cooling down the body before and after dancing classes and performances at school. . Christie carried on experimenting with Yoga postures and breathing techniques throughout university and her years in a traditional workplace. However, It wasn’t until 2017 that I found my true identity and took the plunge into teaching Yoga.
Yoga for Christie was an escape from work and other things in her daily life that left her feeling uneasy. Through Yoga, Christie found that ease, feeling centred and relaxed. In the summer of 2017 Christie left her career and travelled to Bali to train as a Yoga teacher. She taught in and around Morpeth in community halls and spaces, until opening the Yoga Den, (the first Yoga studio in Morpeth) in January 2019. Well done, Christie, was such a pleasure speaking to you!
