Caregivers are faced with making a challenging decision for their loved one.
2. Educate -(Teaching point) A Memory care provides a safe environment for continued socialization and enjoyment of the late stages of life by individuals suffering from MCI or dementia. It is BEST to make the decision in a timely manner. Hints that it may be time to move home to a memory care: disease progression to symptoms affecting activities of daily living ADLs, severe sundowning, wandering, falls, forgetfulness, etc.
