Types of Events:

* Narrative: story driven, unique missions, very relaxed time frames.

* Friendly or casual: more laid back, more time to play, usually the lists are much less intense.

* Competitive: ITC as the standard, tight mission packs and times, more games in a given day.

* Put together a list and gather feedback from your competitive minded friends.

* Play test over and over to optimize your list.

* Finalize your list and get it painted to 3 color minimum.

* Play your lists in your local RTTs

The goal should be that you feel comfortable regardless of the opening situation you find yourself in.
