July marks the incoming of new residents across residency programs all over the United States, with such an exciting time we still urge an err of caution. The 'July Effect' is no secret, and being well equipped to tackle your first months of residency with dictate your overall success. In 2020 we interviewed 3 ACMedical Members who matched during COVID, during their 4th month of PGY1 where the consensus of the panel highlighted the shock effect of now being the physician and the decision-maker.
