In Ransom for a Dead Man (1971), the show's second pilot, Lee Grant stars as Leslie Williams, an attorney who has her sights on controlling her (boring) husband's law practice and take control of her life.  She just has two thorns in her side: a bumbling police lieutenant named Columbo, and an annoying stepdaughter who knows that Leslie is the guilty party.
