Ron Harris is a former marketing executive who now runs Financial Literacy Group, a financial wellness company based in Santa Monica, California. After attending college in Europe, and successful business forays in both marketing and technology, 10 years ago he entered the insurance industry at the suggestion of a professional colleague and friend during the launch of the ACA aka Obamacare. He then set his sites on methods to help build more generational wealth, specifically in the African-American community where he saw both excessive debt and lack of financial education continuing to widen economic inequities. He soon discovered a creative way to utilize Life Insurance as a tool to eliminate debts and create wealth by utilizing not its death benefits, but its living benefits. In this conversation, we discuss his career journey and how he has combined all of his professional experiences for his mission to use insurance and technology to bring financial literacy and education to individuals and families across the country...all because he got a license.
