What if one of the clearest descriptions of Jesus wasn't written in the New Testament?
In this episode, we explore Isaiah 53, a passage written centuries before Jesus that contains some remarkably familiar themes.
A servant.
Suffering.
Rejection.
Wounds borne for others.
When we slowed down and read it carefully, we found ourselves asking:
How did Isaiah know to describe the Messiah this way?
Because this wasn't the kind of king many people were expecting.
Instead of conquering through power, this servant suffers on behalf of others.
Then we jump to 1 Peter 2, where Peter directly connects Isaiah's words to Jesus and His sacrifice.
And suddenly, what looked like an ancient prophecy starts sounding remarkably familiar.
We talk through suffering, sacrifice, healing, and why Isaiah 53 has become one of the most discussed and significant chapters in the entire Bible.
We're not theologians. We didn't go to seminary.
We're just two ordinary people from Iowa asking questions, noticing patterns, and learning a lot along the way.
And honestly... this may be one of the most jaw-dropping connections we've explored so far.
Come explore it with us.
