Proclamation! For the Fifth Sunday of Easter, 28 April 2024
Reverend Shelly McVea celebrates spring with a sermon that reminds us that spring is a time of planting, but it is also a time for pruning so that our gardens will prosper.  Spiritually, we are branches growing on a holy vine, and our spiritual practice needs tending, nourishment, and care.  Jesus said to his disciples, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower… Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit.”
