Matthew Michael Schiel makes a WB vow. Is studio interference killing the comic book genre? The “controversy” over the #Zendaya casting as Mary Jane (hint...it isn't) and then we do a deep dive into the ever sticky subject of race and casting (from our very white-privileged point of view). We would like movies to please stop showing us the back-story to everything...let some stuff be shrouded in mystery. Also: Remakes…please stop. Just stop. How they are remaking Clue and turning it into a “globe trotting adventure” and they just DIDN’T BUY THE RIGHTS TO MAKE A CARMEN SANDIEGO MOVIE!!! (Also, Fun Fact: Dave has NEVER played Clue!) How they are also just remaking the shit out of all of Tim Curry’s old stuff. (Now with more Rocky Horror Picture Show: Live) Then we totally divert into the good and bad of what’s been going on with the live movie musical for a bit. We then start asking ourselves the hard questions in life… do we hate remakes because we have superior taste? Or are we just old?
