Reflections on Living Well

Episode 24 | Allison Post

Listen Later

In this episode I speak with Allison Post. Allison is an Integrative Medicine Health Coach and Somatic Educator. She was born and raised in New York City and spent much of her youth involved in music, dance and theatre arts. At the age of 19 she was beset with a challenging illness that persisted for many years. Because conventional medicine was not offering solutions, she began to explore the vast world of alternative therapies. Inspired by nutrition, exercise, meditation and yoga, Allison began to share what she learned and found deep delight in providing support and helping others. Her curiosity has encouraged her to continuously study while she taught others. Breathing practice, meditation, healing and movement traditions from around the world still inspire her. Some of those explorations include Somatic Psychology, Hypnotherapy, Asian and Western Bodywork, Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda and Yoga, Functional Medicine and many lineages of Craniosacral Therapy. Essentially, Allison’s specialty is to listen. She draws upon the deep wells of modern and traditional medical wisdom to encourage balance and joy in everyday life.
