When a friend sent Brenda Lin a news article on Facebook with her house as the picture, Brenda couldn't comprehend what the story was saying. 

Brenda was just 15 years old and overseas on a school trip when she found out that her parents, brothers and auntie were all dead. 

Brenda had an aunt and uncle, Kathy and Robert Xie, to take care of her but as the killings were investigated, people had to look uncomfortably close to home to find the murderer...
