Episode #24: The Power of Simplicity

Listen Later

Life is complicated. We tell ourselves this every day.Yet, the great spiritual leaders, philosophers, and intellectuals since the beginning of time have shown us the way to a deeper and more fulfilling life. This podcast suggests what you need is not more of anything. What you actually need is less. Yet, the human propensity to complicate life continues to be a serious problem in American society. We live longer, opportunities to excel are everywhere, and technology has opened doors for efficiencies and innovations unconceivable to prior generations.Yet, we are one of the most in debt, fearful, angry, anxiety-filled, and drugged societies in the world. It should not be this way. It doesn't have to be this way. You have the power to change your perspective.  You need to declutter and reexamine your mind with a goal of greater clarity, improved function, and focus on the things most important to you. More pills, self-help books, and personal development seminars are not what you need. What you need is to take the minimalist approach to where you invest your mental energy.  The result will be a life-altering improvement.
