Things come to a head this week when Benton decides to challenge Count Vucilich on the ethics behind his study. With very little support from those around him, Peter is faced with a difficult decision. Elsewhere, Mark and Susan raise eyebrows as they arrive on the L together, with rumours flying through the ER as quickly as Carter can share them. 

Carter is having a rough week, with some truly unpleasant character traits coming to the surface. Can an encounter with Ruby set things straight for him again?
