Chris Mohead has always approached his artistry through two lenses both as a rapper and a filmmaker. This week he joined us on episode 241 to discuss some of his journey and a little of what the world looks like from his perspective! In music Chris described starting his own studio to write and record his works in his home state of South Carolina which has helped provide him with the space necessary to create without boundaries. This is where his most recent body of work “Derado” was crafted and where he plans to keep making new projects moving forward. As a director and actor Chris can reach another audience and also unlock another side of his creative nature. We were able to discuss some of his influences and some of the movies and TV shows he’s been a fan of over the last several years as well. It was cool to discuss a different medium that we don’t always get to touch on here on the podcast and we appreciate Chris for giving us more insight on that perspective. We welcome him to come back anytime and wish him nothing but success in all of his work in the future!
