RADICAL OR NOT, HERE I COME: One Man's Search For Spiritual Affirmation And To Understand Radical Islam by E. Leroy NealI never set out to write a book. The book found me. Hearing a sermon based on Acts 9:1-19, the conversion of Saul on the road to Damascus was very unsettling. This was radical. It caused me to question my own conversion and to wonder, what do we mean when we use the term, “radical”? It led me to formulate six questions I needed answers to relative to my own faith and to understand “Radical Islam” in comparison. I decided to write a book as a means to answer these questions. The questions are:1. What are the similarities and differences between Islam and Christianity?2. What are the similarities and differences between the Qur’an and the Bible?3. Is Islam truly a religion of peace”? Is Christianity more militant and violent than commonly professed or admitted?4. Was my quiet, almost unnoticed, conversion as powerful as Saul’s or other dramatic conversions?5. Why was I so unprepared to rationally discus these comparisons with my counterpart, a sincere Muslim?I used my personal life journey to accepting Christ as the vehicle to discuss these and other questions.Author Bio - Born July 22, 1941, in San Diego, CA.
