Episode #24 of Gruler Nation features Kirk Nurmi, former attorney to the infamous Jodi Arias. Kirk is also a cancer survivor, an author of numerous books, and a motivational speaker. In this episode Kirk shares how he rebuilt his life after beating cancer and the important life lessons he learned while battling his own infamy.  

Kirk believes that too many of us live unhappy lives due to the fact that as human beings we begin to believe that financial success outweighs our own true happiness. Kirk promotes happiness independent of your work life and believes that one should not fear making happiness a priority due to the misconception that happiness could lead to financial ruin. Before cancer came into Kirk's life, he admits that he was one of those people. However, when he choose to fight cancer he knew he was really chasing to fight for more time on this planet and with that came the decision that he would not live his remaining years, the years he would earn if he beat cancer, the way he had his previous 49 years. This shift was a game changer and Kirk believes much of what he learned along the way can help and inspire others who may be facing the same challenges, and even provide awareness to future professionals entering the work place.
