Acts 21 describes the power of friendship, and the impact on Paul and those he connects with:

  • Tearing themselves away because it was the last time they were going to see Paul
  • Searching out the disciples of Jesus while the ship was offloading…
  • Being bound together as family
  • Getting involved in each others’ business
  • Wives and children walked down – it was a whole family affair

    • Spiritual friendship is:

    1. Needed. ‘It’s not good for man to be alone’. God created us to be in community.
    2. Discovered. ‘What, you too? I thought I was the only one!’
    3. Made. Am I sharing my feelings? Stuff (Hospitality)? Faith (encouraging each other)? Decision (talking through together – doesn’t mean agreeing with everything)?
