Susan Blanton, Happiness Coach, talks about how getting to know yourself is a key to happiness.  "To know thyself is beginning of wisdom" according to Socrates. Susan says what he really means is inner wisdom. Susan explores the benefits of knowing yourself including decision-making, self-control, patience, enjoying life more and of course, happiness.  She explains how following the acronym SPIRIT can help you remember the keys to knowing yourself.  Self-esteem or emotional intelligence, purpose, interests, rhythm of the body, intuition and temperament or personality traits.  Susan explains that knowing yourself is like exercising a muscle and you must always be discovering yourself.
