that the road to you

was paved with

puzzle pieces

that were meant to be filled

with yours.

One day I’ll look behind

and see that we walked

side by side

not together in this life

but learning how to

love each other

through everything

life could throw at us.

One day we’ll learn

that had we not

suffered what others couldn’t,

carried the heaviest burdens,

we wouldn’t

understand each other.

One day we won’t even

realize it,

we have already

fallen in love.
