Edward Allen Carter Jr. was a United States Army sergeant first class who was wounded in action during World War II. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, the nation's highest military decoration for valor, for his actions on March 23, 1945, near Speyer, Germany. Edward Carter lived a fascinating life from being raised in India and China to fighting in the Spanish Civil War SFC Carter did it all.
