Episode 25: When Harry Met Sally

Listen Later

Welcome to The RomCom Roundtable! When the genre of RomCom is mentioned, this film is often at the top of the list. Today we review When Harry Met Sally.

We share our thoughts on the film and its cultural impact as well as its influence in romcom movies and books of today.

We recorded this episode in December 2025. We already had this episode slated on the schedule before the news broke about Rob & Michele Reiner. We debated back and forth about whether to postpone this episode out of respect for the situation, but ultimately agreed to move forward with it, and pay our respects at the beginning of the episode. Rob and Michele Reiner’s legendary legacy will live on through their works, which include several seminal movies in not only the genre we cover, but film as a whole. That said, any criticisms we levy against today’s movie in this episode are our pure, honest opinions, and are done with the utmost respect.

May Rob and Michele Reiner rest in peace and their memories be a blessing to their families, friends, and colleagues.

When Harry Met Sally is available for streaming and check out your local library for availability on Hoopla and Kanopy.
