What happens when the people responsible for caring for the flock stop caring for the flock?
That's the question at the heart of Ezekiel 34.
God confronts Israel's leaders, the shepherds who were supposed to protect, guide, and care for His people.
Instead, the flock has been neglected.
Scattered.
Lost.
And then God makes an incredible promise:
"I myself will search for my sheep and look after them."
That phrase stopped us.
Because God doesn't say He's going to find a better shepherd.
He says He's going to do it Himself.
Then we get to John 10, where Jesus says:
"I am the Good Shepherd."
And suddenly Ezekiel's promise sounds very familiar.
We talk through leadership, care, rescue, and why Jesus' shepherd language carried so much more meaning than we often realize.
We're not theologians. We didn't go to seminary.
We're just two ordinary people from Iowa asking questions, noticing patterns, and learning a lot along the way.
And honestly... this connection made us appreciate the Good Shepherd in a whole new way.
Come explore it with us.
