IHMC's Evening Lecture series kicks off 2024 by delving into the networks of connected devices that surround us, telling us where to drive, when to stand, what to buy at the grocery store, and much more.  The Internet of Things (IoT) is the web of connected devices that are woven deeply into our everyday lives. From smart homes filled with smart appliances, smart switches, and smart light bulbs to personal devices such as Fitbits and smart watches, you interact with IoT devices every day. IHMC’s Associate Director Dr. Niranjan Suri will discuss ongoing work in the military applications of IoT, and he will talk about the challenges raised by IoT, such as privacy and data rights at 6 p.m. on Jan. 18,   at 40 S.
