“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations."
Jeremiah 1:5 ESV
It’s been said, “God doesn’t call the equipped; He equips the called.” This is exactly what is happening in this passage, as the Word of the LORD comes to Jeremiah (still a young boy) and tells him that he is going to be a prophet to kings.
