Today's prayer meditation is on Proverbs 6

Father God, I do not go into debt by living beyond my means. I am a good steward of all the blessings you have poured out on me. I do not procrastinate, nor do I act impulsively. 

I take a lesson from the ant. It works hard storing up food during the summer and stockpiling provisions at harvest. I also work diligently. I sow seed into good soil, and I am a good steward of the harvest that comes. 

I avoid the things you hate. I am not arrogant. I do not lie. I put my hands to good work, things that give life. I keep my heart pure and focus on good things. I keep my feet steady on the paths of righteousness. I do not take oaths, but let my yes be yes and my no be no. I am a peacemaker in my family.

I follow my father's good advice and don't wander off from my mother's teachings. I wrap myself in them from head to foot. I wear them like a scarf around my neck. Wherever I walk, they guide me. Whenever I rest, they guard me. When I wake up, they tell me what's next. 

Sound advice is a beacon. Good teaching is a light. Moral discipline is the life path that I follow. 

So be it.
