Today's prayer meditation is on Proverbs 9

Father God, in the past, I have been confused about life. At times, I didn't know what was going on. But I know you do, Father. Nothing takes you by surprise. 

Wisdom isn't hidden, she stands in a prominent place and invites me to a changed life. So I leave impoverished confusion behind and live. I walk in wisdom to a life with meaning. 

I don't waste my time with the arrogant or with scoffers. But I do offer loving correction to those who care about life, and they love me for it. We correct each other when we see something out of line. That's what friends do.

So I save my breath for the wise and they are wiser for it. I tell good people what I know, and they profit from it. 

I know that skilled living gets it's start in the fear and reverence of you. And understanding of and insight into life comes from knowing you, Father. 

Through wisdom, my life deepens and the years of my life ripen. I live wisely  and wisdom penetrates my life.

So be it.
