Today I received the first edit back from my book.
I read a couple of the comments and I was immediately defensive.
'What do you mean that doesn't make sense?"
The reality is, I chose someone not close to me to edit my book so they could give me accurate feedback.
Not someone that wanted to tell me how great it was so they didn't hurt my feelings.
Initially, I couldn't handle the truth but after I realized it was for my own good...
I understood I needed constructive criticism.
