On Monday, me and my filmmaking group "Some Guys With A Camera" were invited to screen our latest short film "Blackbird" at the Plaza Cinema in Liverpool, followed by a Q&A with the cast and crew. Blackbird is a 20 minute short film we shot on a minuscule budget in January/February and released in March online. Over the summer it received several nominations from international film festivals. The plot is "Liverpool, 1985. Trampled by Thatcherist society and the loss of her long-term boyfriend, nihilistic loner Mary-Kate turns to petty crime to climb the class ladder as an inner-city avenger." 

 In the Q&A we had: Matthew Reynolds (writer and director), Phoebe Riding (lead actor who plays Mary-Kate), Conor O'Neill (producer and supporting actor), myself (producer and supporting actor), and Ugnius Gorbaciovas (lead actor who plays Vincent.)
