In Episode 26, we share the stories of Nichelle Nichols, who broke ground by portraying the first black female (main)character on network television as beloved Lt. Uhura on Star Trek, and Denise Aubrey-Bertini, who (along with her cousin, Pa-Mela Hernandez) was part of the first black aerialist act in the Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus; also she is the FIRST betch who we have been in contact with personally, and we could not be more grateful to her for sharing her story with us! Love these betches!
