Just a few weeks ago, on the 25th -26th of October 2019 the Philippines made history! The very first Climathon, a climate solutions hackathon by the UK based Non-Profit Organization, Climate-KIC was hosted by PASIG CITY; together with HiFi (City Enabler) of the College of St. Benilde, SCALE Solutions & Future Proof PH (Organizers). The climathon happened simultaneously around the world in over 100 cities and across 46 countries- this event was focused on getting both the public and private sectors to collaborate in finding solid waste and mobility solutions that affect our climate.
In this episode, we will talk to Team Cloop, who won first place and find out more about their solution- which will be implemented in Pasig City. Team Cloop is composed of four young individuals from the Unibersidad ng Pilipinas, namely Ricardo Alindayu II, from Baranggay Kapitolyo Pasig City, Leslie Anne Yasis from Makati City, Glenn Adrian Ongpin and Alexis Espina from Mandaluyong City, (Alexis was not in the climathon as he was in a boot camp)
