My name is Duana Chandler. I am a wife and mom of a beautiful girl named Blaire. I am a Chemistry teacher, but sewing has been a major part of my life since I became a teacher. I learned how to sew in 2015, but stopped sewing soon after getting married. In 2018, I had my daughter. She was a major part of the reason that I started sewing again. She was born a micro preemie and was too small for the standard size preemie clothes, so I began to sew her clothes that fit. That reignited my passion for sewing. In 2019, I discovered an entire sewing community on social media and made a lot of new friendships. In 2020, I started learning about pattern design through online videos and through that, I released my first pattern. I have since released a total of 4 indie patterns on my Etsy shop. In 2022, I became a Know Me Pattern Designer under Mimi G and have since released two patterns. I have enjoyed the process. I have learned so much and I am continuing to learn and grow more as I go.
