On one hand we want to raise children who believe it is okay to feel their feelings and believe that all feelings are okay but on the other, we wish they wouldn't have such HUGE emotional outbursts! Other people's big emotions can be scary and we are often at a loose end as to what to do with our child in the heat of their emotional moment.
