Today's prayer meditation is on Proverbs 13

Father God, as a child, I listened to my parents (for the most part). And as I have grown, I have acquired a taste for good conversation. I hate false talk. I choose my words carefully. Careful words make a careful life.  

I am energetic and work diligently and I have something to show for my life. Being loyal to you keeps my life on track. I live a plain and simple life and it is full.

My life is like a brightly lit street. I am steady and diligent in all that I do, and it pays off. 

I walk with the wise and I gain more wisdom. I listen to the counsel of wise men and women. The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life. I drink deeply from it. The sound thinking it develops within me makes for gracious living. 

I am a common sense person. I live my life with good sense. I speak responsibly and my reliable reports are a healing presence. I embrace correction and live an honored life. 

My soul follows the desires you have placed in my heart, and it thrives. 

I know that you are the God of the breakthrough, and that a sudden good break can turn my life around. So I honor you and your Word, Father. Keeping your commands brings me wealth. 

I am loyal to you, Father God, and I have a good life. I love my life. And this good life will be passed on to my grandchildren. 

I love my children, and I correct them out of love, just as you correct me, Father. 

I have an appetite for good, and it brings me much satisfaction. 

So be it.
