People are a valuable resource and Dale Carnegie, who famously wrote “How To Win Friends and Influence People” knew the value in being genuinely interested in people and attributed it to his success. My wife loves the quote from that book “you can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you”
