An interview with Luis Haro
We live in an age in which the value of our connection to ourselves and those around us is becoming more and more obvious. Men like Luis are leading the charge on this journey into a more compassionate collective humanity.
Luis is a man who facilitates connection professionally. He utilizes his career as a barber to connect with those that sit in his chair and to give them a place to be seen, heard, and appreciated. I cannot overstate the value of this connection. It can literally be lifesaving (there’s a story behind this comment – tune in to Episode #28 for part 2 of my conversation with Luis to hear it!).
In this conversation Luis shares about his experience of becoming a teen father. We discuss his struggles with bullying and slander growing up and talks openly about childhood abuse. My respect for this man’s courage at opening the doors into his past to allow himself to heal is impossible to quantify in words.
Luis – Brother – thank you for opening your heart, thank you for having the courage to allow your shadows to see the light of day.
If you want to connect with Luis you can find him on Instagram @l.barberharo or head into Main Barber South in Half Moon Bay, CA for a Cut to rival all Cuts.
