Hello and welcome back to the time machine. As yesterday was a holiday and I did not get a chance to produce an episode, today we will feature two episodes of a show. Let George Do It ran from 1946 to 1954, starring the very familiar Bob Bailey from Yours Truly Johnny Dollar. In contrast to the straight man Bailey plays on YTJD, Let George do it is more of a sitcom at times than a private eye show. Early episodes were even recorded in front of a studio audio audience to provide scattered laughter. So please, sit back, relax, and travel back 76 years to October 18th 1946, for the very premier episode of Let George Do It with The First Client.
I hope you enjoyed The First Client. We will now jump forward about 4 years to November 20th, 1950. The first thing you will notice is a serious tone change in the show. Now Bailey is performing more like his role as Johnny Dollar, being more of a straight man private detective. Claire the assistant is rarely featured, now with a different actress, and Sonny and Caleb play rare parts. We will join George who has been called in to assist on a case of a 10 year old boy who has been picked up by the police and either can’t or won’t talk. So please sit back, relax, and travel back 72 years to enjoy Cause for Thanksgiving here on the time machine
