In this episode, we will be discussing two army lists that listeners have submitted to us. We talk about small tweaks to the lists and discuss some strategies on how to play each one. The goal is not to write a new list, but to apply what we talk about on the table top.
Show Notes
The Take-All-Comers List
Way back in Episode Two; what do you need to build a Take All Comers list.
You need an answer for different buckets of units:
* Heavy infantry (3+ and 2+)
* Light infantry (horde)
* Light armor (12 below)
* Heavy Armor (13+), super heavy vehicles
* Monstrous/Gargantuan Creatures
* Fliers
You need to be able to deal with these kinds of lists:
* Gunline (Tau, some Eldar)
* Drop pod army (Marines)
* Assault heavy (Orks, Space Wolves)
* Death Stars
* MSU (Battle Company)
* Add in Psychic heavy Demon armies
Building a Competitive List
In Episode 24, we talked about what you should have in a competitive list. You should include:
* Objective grabbing
* Some board control
* Ignores cover
* Redundancy
* Flexible units, that can take on multiple threats or do multiple roles
You need a plan to survive the first several turns and to grab objectives mid to late game.
List building and Meta
When evaluating lists, there is a concept of efficiency: a unit needs to be really good at its role “for the points.”
What is a Meta? Everything you do you should consider who you play.

He is the only Eldar player in his area, and plays against mostly Space Marines and Chaos.
