My name is Sheredith Hardy and I run ProjectorSewing.com which was created in 2021 as a website dedicated to providing resources, recommendations, and tutorials to help others on their sewing with a projector journey!

My full-time job now is being a stay-at-home Mom to my three wonderful children ages 6,4, and 2! I have two boys, and a girl. We currently live in Kennewick, WA. My husband, Devin, and I are Arizona natives. So, the desert will always hold a place in our hearts.

The Projector Sewing website was started shortly after I joined the ranks of those sewing with projectors. For anyone who has tried to jump into sewing with a projector and joined the “Projectors for Sewing” Facebook group, you understand the bombardment of wonderful information to sort through!

There are many wonderful contributors in that group that have freely offered their skills and expertise to learn about sewing with a projector!

I realized there was a lot that goes into sewing with a projector including choosing a projector, setting them up, finding a mount, and transferring paper sewing skills to the digital world. Even more, than one Facebook group could contain.

Projectors online were not always what they touted to be and sifting through listings to find the information for a sewing projector can be daunting. Things like “throw ratio” and minimum focal distance are a foreign language to many.

I set out to test and trial several projectors to find the “Best” mini projectors on the current market for sewing. From my recommendations, we have been able to keep current on projectors useful for sewing and get “real-life” comparisons between different models.

Sewing with projectors was such a new concept at the time that only a handful of tutorials existed. I set out to create a library of tutorials that others could read and watch on their own schedule.

This is right up my alley because 1: I LOVE to sew! 2: I LOVE learning new things. 3: I LOVE to teach others how to do it.

My aim with the website is to provide the resources people need to get started the fastest and easiest way possible and also provide simple, straightforward tutorials on several of the programs that are used in conjunction with projectors.
