Welcome to the final week of the 2021 regular season! And what a finish we have coming. Tab and Paul started the show with a couple headlines – off the field. Iconic Dodgers Spanish language voice Jaime Jarrín announced 2022 will be his 64th and final season on the mic. He’s a legend and gentleman who has been a trailblazer for Spanish language broadcasters. The guys also spent some time discussing the Mets’ reported plans to rebrand this offseason. Maybe hire some good people and players and that’ll help? Just a thought…

Then the guys went in on the wild finish coming to the regular season. In the American League, everything is still up for grabs. The Yankees winning seven straight has propelled them into the lead in the Wild Card race, but the Seattle Mariners have crept into the picture with a hot streak of their own. Will the Red Sox get their act together and hang on? Will Toronto stop the Yankees’ streak and climb back into the mix?

In the National League, the teams are almost set but the order is not. Atlanta is pulling away from Philadelphia in the East with a chance to face a Milwaukee team limping to the finish. Meanwhile, the Cardinals have won 17 straight and clinched the second wild card spot on Tuesday night. They’ll face either the Dodgers or Giants in the Wild Card game; the Giants will have to play without their star first baseman, Brandon Belt, who is out for a month with a broken hand.
