At the turn of the 20th century, many men believed the only way to truly be free was to live outside of the benefits or restrictions of the law. Making a living by robbing banks or trains, and racking up bounties all across the country, these men came to be known as outlaws. Among them were some of the greats like Jesse James, Billy the Kid, or Butch Cassidy. Then the not so greats like Elmer McCurdy, who was just plain bad at heists. But where the aforementioned greats made quite the names for themselves when they were alive, Elmer's story continued for roughly 60 years after his death. As always, we hope you enjoy.
