There are many ways to develop and design websites. There are many people who design and develop websites... designers, developers, IT professionals, marketing agencies, advertising agencies and so on. All have their pluses and minuses. Heck, I have seen websites developed by the neighbor's, kids, and the dog! Bottom line if it works for you, it's OK. But more importantly... is it working for your audience?
In a meeting I had with a potential client today, she was asking about those long and scrolling websites that I call one-pagers. They have a purpose and a place, but again it depends on your audience and their surfing habits and needs.
In this episode, I will discuss the benefits, pitfalls, and differences between traditional websites (with tabs and menus) and those one-pagers. Also we will discuss the data behind website usage and why you may want to choose one over the other (depending on your goals and audience).
