Helping Brett out with school got me thinking about the tool that has helped me the most in life.  Charlie Munger famously talked about the power of avoiding stupidity.  The foundation for any of my long term success in my life is attributed to the concept of avoiding big mistakes.  Surprisingly simple but often overlooked.
