In this episode Deborah shares the important work of Quetzal.
Deborah Knight is CEO of Quetzal, a charity that focuses on
providing support and healing for survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
Deborah's commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment for survivors
is what drives her to build the organisation into a haven where solace,
support, and empowerment flourish.
Beyond her professional
responsibilities Deborah is a volunteer at youth and emotional support
charities. Through these roles she has the opprtunity to give her time and
expertise to make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals facing
adversity, fostering healing, resilience, and growth within vulnerable
communities.
In addition to her work and volunteering, Deborah embraces the
role of mother to three boys. Being a mother has allowed her to cultivate
understanding and foster a supportive work environment. Through Juggling
multiple responsibilities, she developed strong time management and
prioritisation skills, crucial for balancing the different aspects of her role.
Being a mother to a child with additional needs has also instilled resilience
and adaptability, enabling Deborah to navigate challenges and inspire teams through
uncertain times.
