As of 2023 CPD for registered UK Farriers will be mandatory.

The FRC expects that after qualifying, all farriers will continue their professional education by committing to keeping up to date with changes and developments in farriery, through the lifelong learning and personal development of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

CPD activities should be relevant to the individual and should build on their strengths, professional knowledge and skills.
