Episode 28: Crossing Party Lines, New York’s Viral Internment Bill

Listen Later

Today, we discuss the shocking surprise that wasn’t: Joe Manchin has refused to support the Build Back Better bill in its current form. We talk about the strategic pros and cons about party-line votes and then turn to the latest in public health fascism news: the New York legislature is getting ready to vote on a bill that’s the equivalent of stop-and-frisk for COVID—only the frisk is internment, and the ‘stop’ can involve forced medical treatment and be renewed continually over 90-day periods.
