The prophets of Elijah and Elisha are significant in the Old Testament. In Many ways, the works of the prophets - miracles, teachings, and behaviors - point to God's way of dealing with human beings, both in justice and mercy. When our view of god is diminished, we lose faith. Elijah made bold moves with big faith and God showed up powerfully. Elijah then made sure that the lies that belittled God were seized and slaughtered.
