Legendary guitarist and Thelemite Jimmy Page releases his album "Lucifer Rising" today, featuring re-worked versions of unreleased songs intended for Kenneth Anger’s 1972 film of the same name, as well as avant-garde compositions and experiments from other projects. The Thelemic Holy Season starts today, March 20th, when in 1904 Aleister Crowley invoked Horus in Cairo with the Supreme Ritual and officially founded Thelema, bringing in the Aeon of Horus. The Holy Season culminates with the Three Days of the Writing of the Book of the Law, April 8th, 9th, and 10th, when Aleister Crowley received our holy book, Liber AL vel Legis, from his Holy Guardian Angel, Aiwass. This year, Aum.Ha. Lodge in Chicago will celebrate each day of the Holy Season with readings and rituals; as well as workshops, the Gnostic Mass, and other events over the three days of the writing of The Book of the Law. On April 21, Mithras Encampment in Brooklyn, Connecticut offers a performance of Aleister Crowley’s Rite of Mars. June 22 through 24, William Blake Lodge in Baltimore, Maryland presents an O.T.O. Centennial and William Blake Lodge 20 Year Anniversary Celebration, Featuring guest speaker Hymenaeus Beta and remarks by U.S. Grand Master Sabazius, U.K. Grand Master Hyperion, and Australia Grand master Shiva. This event is open to active O.T.O. members of the First Degree and above. Tickets are now available for Eleusyve Productions' rock opera rendition of Aleister Crowley’s Rite of Sol. Opening weekend is November 2nd and 3rd, and the Saturday performance will also feature a lecture by Lon DuQuette. More performance dates will be announced soon.
