As we continue on talking about spiritual gifts, this week we will start to address the gift of healing. Before looking at the Apostles and the healings they were able to perform once commissioned or addressing the question if the gift of healing is for today, let’s look at two different accounts where Jesus heals. One where a person demonstrated faith to be healed and one where the demon possessed man was healed despite faith, but later went and would become a witness for Christ. Let’s remember the importance of 2 Timothy 3:16-17, that All Scripture is God-Breathed. It’s useful to teach us, correct us, rebuke us, and train us in righteousness so we may be equipped. I’ll go over a quick guide through the key chapters in the Old Testament that set the stage for the coming of Christ and why Jesus taught in the way that He did.
