To kick off our Octoberfest of scary stories that we're bringing you all month long, we tore into some horror movies based on supernatural events. Some of them are true, others more, true-ish? As with all "based on a true story" films, we have to take the "truth" with a grain of salt.  Kelsey covers a creepy case based on a foreign film that is loosely based on the story of Manuel Blanco Romasanta. This Spanish man was suspected of being a werewolf.....but was probably something a lot more sinister. And soapy. Alanna covers her favorite horror author, King of horror himself, Mr. Stephen King! From Carrie to Doctor Sleep, Stephen King's stories have inspired more movies than any other author. Can you guess how many? that's right, a shit ton! But that wasn't the main assignment today so, we do cover the legendary, the one, the only, The Stanley hotel! With all it's resident ghosts, which of course helped inspire the movie The Shining.
