In today's episode, I have the privilege of introducing to you a man whose passion for wine runs so deep, but didn't necessarily start according to plan.  This man is none other than Anthony Schroth, Winemaker for Jackson Hole Winery of Jackson Hole, WY, and Premonition Cellars out of Sonoma County, CA.

In this episode Anthony shares how he fell into this career, taking 2 classes in wine to graduate from Sonoma State University, thinking this would get him one step closer to a career in baseball, but eventually led him down the road to becoming a full-time winemaker.

Anthony also talks about Jackson Hole Winery and how he picks 60 tons of California fruit, tops it off with dry ice, rents Budget Trucks and transports the fruit 16 hours north to Jackson Hole, WY at 6,200 feet above sea level and 18 degrees less oxygen to then crush, ferment, and age his wines.

Anthony's proven that you don't have to live in Napa Valley, or any other wine growing region for that matter to make world class wines.  You just have to have a high willingness to learn, and a genuine passion to go completely over the top to reach the achievements of your success.

Anthony shows how life doesn't always give us what we want, but that doesn't mean we aren't getting what we need.  Baseball was always Anthony's passion, marketing was his fall-back, and wine wasn't even a thought, but through fate and divine intervention, Anthony is now an extraordinary winemaker who's rapidly propelling to the top and he couldnt be happier!
